WELCOME TO Atlanta

Old Fourth Ward

Popping up on the BeltLine scene has confirmed what many people have long told us: ATLiens are completely out of this world, and in the best way. Before opening our first location in Georgia, we fell in love with the Atlanta culinary scene through our participation in the iconic Taste of Atlanta festival, and our love for the ATL has only grown deeper since joining the Old Fourth Ward family.

HAWKERS ON THE BELTLINE – Updates Coming Soon!

To our Atlanta family:

As you all know, we’ve faced several complications with our HVAC system, which has forced us to offer a limited menu in order to keep the kitchen and dining room temperatures at an appropriate level for our guests and team members. Our woks reach temperatures as high as 900 degrees, per wok, per dish, which creates a lot of additional heat throughout our restaurant and requires a state-of-the-art HVAC system specifically designed to combat our wok heat.

Following a grease fire in July 2021, we consulted with several mechanical engineers and experts, only to discover that the necessary maintenance to bring our HVAC system back up to essential levels would require a much deeper renovation process than we were originally advised.
Because of this, we have made the very difficult decision to temporarily close our doors, to give our engineers and construction partners the necessary time and space to resolve this complication once and for all.

This decision was not made lightly. However, after speaking with each of our team members, we know that this is the right decision as we prioritize the safety and wellbeing of each team member and every guest.

The extremely limited menu forced by temperature restrictions is not the experience we want to provide our guests with. It’s not the experience our guests deserve.

Many of our team members will temporarily be relocating to other Hawkers locations, while many will rejoin our squad upon reopening.

Thank you so much for your support and understanding as we have navigated an extremely challenging landscape. Each of you mean more to us than we could ever express in words.

We have some surprises in store for the duration of the temporary closure, and we will be sure to keep all of you updated as things progress. Please feel free to reach out to our team at feedback@eathawkers.com if you have any questions. We cannot wait to be cooking mad roti, rice, and noods in Atlanta!
